O Seeker!  Resolve for his shelter. You will have prerogative to be blessed with the immortality and the abode of Vishnu Which is the supreme bliss.  It is the candid assurance & ordinance of the Vedas.

Odisha is fortunate, so is India where Bhagwan Jagannath in his quartet form (Jagannath, Balbhadra, Subhadra & Sudarshan Chakra) manifests in Purushottam Kshetra. It is his original mundane accommodation like the Shwet dweep is his celestial one.

The divine tree from which the quartet form of Bhagwan and the entire cosmos were created, was spectacular  along the sea shore in Shree Kshetra only.  

This region is also famed as Neeladri Kshetra, Shankha Kshetra etc.

It is the epicentre of the universe where a blueprint of the world’s existence is conceived. It is beyond the ambit of any dogma, come what may. It equips the pilgrims with the Purusharth viz four human pursuits (piety wealth, pleasure and above all enlightment) with his benign compassion. 

It is one of the four Dhamas (sacred places) for pilgrimage that is a Shakti peeth (the pedestal of power) as well. This primordial power is synonymous with Goddess vimala who accompanies Bhagwan Jagannath in his every predetermined act. 

The mere visit of this place dispels one’s ignorance& at the same time paves the path for the pinnacle of ecstasy which is the only be all & end all for one’s life 

Bhagwan is the pioneer of the Sanatan Dharm & the harbinger of the mankind.  Nothing is apart from him. He is both all in all and  all in one. The universe is wholly merged with him. He exists in  each and every particle of it. 

If the word “Lord” is analysed, it is not fit for addressing Jagannath as it has inherent limitations. Everyone had better entreat him as the initials Bhagwan or Mahaprabhu.

Bhagwan has incarnated as Darubrahmn in Puridham for the wellbeing of the mankind. Daru Stands for wood or timber. Viz four idols of Jagannath are sculpted from wood which have no parallel in the world. 

He displays his limitless sports. Even the universe owes its existence to that Daru (tree wood) of ShriKhetra. 

Jagannath is a composite word combined with Jagat & Nath that implies to the supreme lord or the only emperor of the universe.

Hence he is superior to all. Thirty crore deities, sages, hermits, seers etc are at one with Jagannath. He sustains everything whether it be animate or inanimate, as such he is all pervading. He is almighty, omnipresent & impeccable. He is Purushottam, excelsior to all.

Not only the province of Odisha, but also the whole of India, even the world reveres him. He is the absolute, the Brahmn which is generally preceded by Akshar, Shabda, Nad, Param etc. so as to illustrate it comprehensively.

Bhagwan alongwith his three ancillary forms is shining on the gemstudded sacrosanct throne (Ratna Sughasan)  in Puridham. Brahma (the creator) himself had installed these four wooden images by deifying in presence of deities seers sages etc. Indradyumna, the King of Avanti puri was instrumental in the construction by Vishwa Karma (the divine architect & engineer) of  Shree Mandir throughout.  The King had accomplished Ashwa medh yagya (horse Sacrifice) at first along with the omniscient sage Narad. Here is the conglomeration of multiple temples dedicated to Gods & goddesses.
