The Vedic scriptures postulate that Bhagwan Jagannath is the living God who conducts everything even his daily routine like the human being.
One can spontaneously visualise the extra ordinary miracles of Bhagwan. so far as the Pradhan family is concerned, they have assessed his infinite glory ever since the above cited people presented the idol to them. At first, they placed the statue alongside their Kuldevi (family deity) in their house. To their utter awe, Bhagwan displayed his sports which no word can exemplify, can be only realized on the whole. That was why they gifted the statue of Bhagwan to a priest piously but he was also astonished by his miracles.
After all, it was concluded to preserve the deity in the Lawn of the temple premise where the idol was worshipped till the completion of the temple.
Bhagwan was propitiated & offered fruits and Kismis (raisins) for 12 years till 1979 in the Lown area. The effigy of Bhagwan is still shining in the temple near Mausi Maa which is truly the epitome of the devotion of those innocent people.
Meanwhile the wooden idols of Bhagwan Jagannath. Balbhadra & Subhadra were carved adopting the divine principles of the Mukti Mandap (pavilion for entightment) under auspices of Sadashiv Rath Sharma, Puri Maharaj & Kalahandi Maharaj (King) Pratap Keshari Deo in Puri. Thereafter Sh. Duryodhan Pradhan & Sh. Bhramarabar Pradhan brought them from Puri to Delhi observing all the required ceremonies. At last the quartet form (Jagannath Balbhadra, Subhadra & Sudarshan Chakra) was installed with the inevitable rituals of deification the day of Saraswati Puja ( the fifth day of bright lunar fortnight in the month of Magh). Besides the quartet form of Bhagwan, the statues of Ganesh, mother Vimala mother Annapurna, mother Tarini, phallus of Shiv etc. are enshrined in our temple. Even its walls are beautifully depicted with the pictures of the deities.
The functioning of worship solely conforms to that of the Jagannath puri temple. Our temple is the main centre of attraction for the visitors.
